Keeping the Festivities Going in 2009


Happy New Year! Just because the New year festivities are over does not mean the fun has to end there. Start planning your next festive jaunt early. Here are some upcoming festivals in Atlanta to check out:

Atlanta Dogwood Festival: The Dogwood Festival perhaps got its name from the beautiful blooming Dogwood trees throughout the park. April 17, 18 and 19th marks the 73rd annual festival at Piedmont Park. This will be a fun 3 day festival filled with music, art and activities.

Georgia Renaissance Festival: located in Fairburn, GA. The Georgia Renaissance Festival is a chuck full of Medieval goodness for all every weekend during April 18 - June 7.

Atlanta Pride: This annual gay pride event is set to be held at Central Park in Midtown. Stay tuned for the actual date in late June or early July.

Atlanta Jazz Festival: This Memorial Day Jazz event is held annually May 23-25,. Expect concerts, vendors, arts, crafts, food and other exhilarating activities throughout both mid and downtown.

Inman Park Festival: Is considered Atlanta’s most spirited and eclectic festival. It lands on the last weekend in April. This neighborhood festival will be Saturday -Sunday, April 25-26, 2009
